Mission Driven Finance and Impact Charitable partner to accelerate the flow of impact-first capital by combining their unique expertise.
Mission Driven Finance (MDF), a certified B Corporation based in San Diego, CA, and Impact Charitable (IC), a Denver, CO-based nonprofit, announce a partnership to flow more impact-first capital into nonprofits, for-profit social enterprises, projects, and impact funds by further reducing barriers for fund managers and project sponsors.
“We could not be more excited about the opportunity to partner with Mission Driven Finance. We have long admired their work, and we share a common mission to help unlock and accelerate the flow of impact capital. Together, we go a step further in eliminating structural barriers that can make it difficult for partner investors and funders to achieve their goals in providing access to capital to deserving projects and ventures,” said Rich Hoops, Executive Director of Impact Charitable.
“Through our partnerships with leaders across the country, we are working more and more with community-driven capital strategies that layer together private investment, philanthropic investment, and grant capital. The partnership with Impact Charitable is a great new tool to help move more capital, more quickly to the communities they serve,” said David Lynn, Co-founder & CEO of Mission Driven Finance.
Through the partnership, Impact Charitable is creating a wholly-owned subsidiary under its 501c3 that will allow for the establishment of individual “fund entities.” These entities will be co-managed by MDF and IC, creating significant efficiencies for impact funds that are increasingly attracting a combination of private, philanthropic, government, and grant capital.
MDF and IC have a history of bringing new tools and innovations to the impact investing ecosystem, and this new partnership aims to connect more capital with the community. Impact investors of all types will get a single, more efficient, effective source to make a range of investments and grants (investment + grant-making) strategies. Community leaders, project sponsors, and emerging managers working with MDF will have a more cohesive supportive charitable investment infrastructure, reducing the time and cost it bring promising impact capital vehicles to market
